Earth Mass Gets Lighter by about 70,000 Tons Per Year.
The earth mass becomes lighter and lighter
As dust falls from space to the surface of the earth, the earth mass increases accordingly.
On the surface of the earth, 40,000 tons of invisible fine dust fall annually from space.
On the contrary, about 95,000 tons of hydrogen and about 16,000 tons of helium are released annually from the earth to space.
In other words, the mass of the earth is reduced by about 70,000 tons a year.
