Ollantaytambo: Superb Views in Peru
Ollantaytambo is an archaeological site in the village of Ollantaytambo.
The village is halfway between Cusco and Machu Picchu in Peru.
“Tambo” means “hatago”.
It is said that this place was used as an inn during the Inca Empire.
It is also said that it wasn’t a inn but fortress.
Climb the stairs of the ruins and you will see a magnificent group of huge stones.
This boulder is believed to have been carried from a great distance.
Therefore, it seems that Inca’s technology at that time was more developed than expected.
