April Fool’s Day: April 1

April 1st is “April Fool’s Day”.

This is famous as “a day when you can lie”.

There are two main origins of April Fool’s Day:

・ French origin

Charles IX of France once changed the New Year from March 25th to January 1st.

People who refused to do so made a noise saying, “It is a lie that April 1st is the New Year.”

Then, this day became a day to lie.

・ Indian origin

A long time ago, enlightenment training was practiced in India from spring to the end of March.

April 1st was a confusing day, as the warmer months of spring can be daunting.

It is not sure which is the real thing or neither is the real thing.
