Dog Days Begin on July 23rd.

July 23rd is the first day of “Dog Days”.

Dog Days is the time represents the “Midsummer”, from July 23rd to August 23rd in ancient Rome.

Even today, in many parts of Europe this period is called Dog Days.

The name comes from Sirius (Dog Star) in Canis Major.

During this midsummer, Sirius rises with sunrise and sets with sunset.
