October 13th is the International Day for Natural Disaster Reduction.
This day is the International Day for the reduction of natural disasters, which was established by the United Nations in December 1989.
Initially, the second Wednesday of October each year was set as this day, but it has been fixed onto October 13th since 2009.

Earthquake, wind damage, flood damage, landslide, volcanic eruption, forest fire, insect damage, drought, desertification, etc.
Main purpose of this International Day is to take reductions and measures for these disasters.
