International Day for Tolerance: November 16th

November 16th is International Day for Tolerance.

It’s an international day established by the UN General Assembly in 1996 to commemorate the adoption of the “Declaration of Principles on Tolerance” and the “Follow-up Plan of Action for the United Nations Year for Tolerance” on this day in 1995.

Its main purpose is to assert to the world the importance of “Tolerance” in humankind.
