Metroliner Started to Be Operated in USA on January 16, 1969

January 16, 1969 is the day when the “Metroliner” was operated for the first time in the United States.

The Metroliner is a high-speed passenger train that connected Washington, D.C. and New York from 1969 to 2006.

With the start of operation of the new train “Acela Express” connecting Washington, D.C. and Boston in 2000, the number of Metroliners began to decrease and was abolished on October 27, 2006.
