Mole Day: October 23rd
October 23rd is Mole Day.
It’s an informal holiday celebrated between 6:02 am and 6:02 pm on this day.
This is derived from the Avogadro number “about 6.02×1023” that defines the number of particles in 1 mol of substance.
On May 15th, 1991, a high school teacher in the state of Wisconsin, USA, Maurice Orler, founded the “National Mole Day Foundation”.
Various activities are carried out by chemists and students around the world.
