World Science Day for Peace and Development: November 10th
November 10th is the World Science Day for Peace and Development.
It was established in 2001 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and has been implemented since 2002.
It’s held for the following purposes under different themes every year:
- Promotion of a peaceful and sustainable society
- Promoting solidarity between nations in international science
- Updated usage of science
- Warning and requesting support for issues confronting science
