World Children Day

World Children’s Day: November 20th

November 20th is World Children’s Day.

On November 20, 1954, the United Nations enacted this day each year as a memorial day,

It promotes mutual understanding and welfare of children around the world.

By the way, in Japan, May 5th is regarded as the Children’s Day, national holiday.

Generally, it’s November 20th when the United Nations adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child (1959) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989).
