World Down Syndrome Day: March 21
March 21st is “World Down Syndrome Day”.
This day is an international anniversary aimed at raising awareness of Down Syndrome.
The “World Down Syndrome Union” was established in 2004 and started in 2006.
It was established by the United Nations as “International Day” in 2012.
March 21 was chosen because many Down Syndrome patients have three “chromosome 21”.
